Why you should start using honey on your face

DIY’s are the cool kids in town at the moment. Everyone is searching for the next best thing which is fast, easy and all natural to care for their skin. After all happy skin, happy life right? (My mantra in life)While some are disasters waiting to happen there are others that are surprisingly good.

One such popular DIY is honey. Yup the bottle of honey that is probably sitting on your kitchen shelf looking all innocent can do wonders to your skin! That is because honey is full of anti bacterial properties and  antioxidants which helps to fight a variety of skin problems you might have. It is important to use raw and unfiltered honey in order to get the best result.

Thats pretty cool right? so here are some ways you can use honey everyday.

1. Use Honey as a mask

Why? To unclog pores and moisturize your skin.

Method: Apply a thin layer of honey with clean fingers. Wait for thirty minutes and wash your face with lukewarm water.

Result: Soft and Radiant skin.

2. Honey for Zits

Why? Honey contains anti bacterial and anti fungal properties that will fight bacteria that causes pimples. Not only that because it has anti-inflammatory properties it will reduce swelling and irritation.

Method: Apply a dab of honey on the affected areas and after 20 minutes wash it off. If you want better results dab some honey before bed and wash your face in the morning.

Result: Pimples greatly reduced or completely gone.

3. Honey cleanser

Why? Because honey is full of antibacterial, probiotic, and healing properties. It is also nourishing and hydrating.

Method: On a wet face apply a dollop of honey. once your whole face is covered wash it off. Pat your face dry.

Result: Skin feels soft and plump.
