Having beautiful skin is pretty much everyone’s dream. And the best type of skin is where you can get away with little to no make up. Of course you can obtain that skin if you take proper care of yourself. To start you off lets take a look at some basic ways you can have your perfect skin.
Do: Cleanse, Tone and moisturize.
Choose a correct cleanser according to your skin type.
Figure out exact your skin type. That is if you have Oily, Dry, Combination or Acne prone skin.
So for an example if you have Oily and Acne prone skin like me choosing a cleanser like Himalaya Neem face wash will go a long way.
When you choose an Toner avoid one’s with alcohol. Go with something soothing like a Rose water based toner.
Moisturizing your face regardless of your skin type is really important. Because I have oily skin I thought skipping moisturizer was okay but once I started applying moisturizer I noticed that my face is actually less oily.
Don’t wash your face more than twice a day, it will strip down your natural oil and you will end up with more oil.
Don’t skip toners, maybe you feel like a toner is not important but most toners will help with large pores and it will clean any residue left over from your cleanser.
DO: Remove your makeup before you cleanse your face
Remember most cleanser are not strong enough to remove make up. So make sure to cleanse your face in this order.
Makeup remover—–>Face wash——>Tone——->Moisturize
Don’t sleep with make up on your face. It does not matter how tired you are make sure you remove every speck of make up before bed. Or it will lead to clogged pores and you can say bye bye to clear skin for awhile.
Do: Avoid breaking your pimples
How ever tempted you feel to touch or pop that huge zit refrain from doing so. It will leave a scab that would be difficult to cover up. But worse there is a chance of permanent scaring.
So instead dab a little honey on the pimple before bed and it will be much smaller in the morning.
Try to avoid using things like tooth paste to dry out your pimples. While not everyone will have an adverse reaction you never know. So to be safe, instead try to use honey or some Aloe.
Do: Pamper yourself at least once a week.
Exfoliate at least once a week. Do you know that dead skin can accumulate on the surface of your skin? These dead skin can clog your pores and make them produce more oil, make pores larger and cause break outs. Exfoliating will help you to get rid of all the dead skin.
Using a mud pack once a week does not hurt either.
Don’t exfoliate too much else you might end up irritating your skin. So limit it to twice a week.
Do: Wear sunscreen
Sunscreen protects your skin from the harmful UVA and UVB rays which causes deep skin damage. It will prevent premature aging and lowers the chance of cancer.
Opt for a sunscreen which is at least 30 SPF.
Do: Eat right
There is only so much you can do externally. After all what goes in your body reflects how your skin will ultimately look. So fill your plates with all the veggies, fruits and greens you can find. Your skin will thank you in the long run.
If you are not getting your required amount of vitamins from your food consider a vitamin supplement.
Avoid oily and greasy food which has little to no nutritious value. They will not do your skin any favors.
